...I finished updating my words and pictures for Mongolia on the separate page on the right - amazingly in under 2 weeks, although I always seem to speed up towards the end !
Little else on offer, I had a trip to the Ashdown Forest but lucked-out on seeing the Short-toed Eagle, I think as it neared the end of it's stay it became a bit more difficult to connect with, there were plenty of other birds there, Redstart, Woodlark, Tree Pipit and Dartford Warbler.

Sunday 15th June - Back to Blighty
Got back on Wednesday from a superb trip to Mongolia - will update a trip report page in due course although I doubt whether the pictures will capture the spectacular scenery. 3 weeks of growth in the garden need to be dealt with although it was a pleasant surprise to still hear singing birds at home as the next couple of weeks will be when the singing starts to subside for the Summer lull - Blackcap, Chiffchaff, a Firecrest even a Skylark but best of all is a daily Turtle Dove purring away hidden in one of the Oaks and a Hobby flew over the garden yesterday.
