Not unusual for the weather to be wet over a May Bank Holiday but this was at times pretty heavy stuff.
I went to Selsey again hoping that the stronger forecast south-easterlies would deliver. There was quite a crowd thinking the same, despite the promising wind direction there was actually very little bird movement on the sea. 2 Arctic Skuas, 4 Great Skuas, a small gathering of Sandwich, Little and Common Terns and a few Common Scoter. A Marsh Harrier and a Hobby were seen and a single Wheatear on the beach.
I went to the North side of Pagham and despite getting an absolute soaking, managed to see the 2 Glossy Ibis in one of the fields along with a few Whimbrel and a rather loud Cuckoo.
The camera remained untouched firmly in the dry.
