Saturday 23rd July - Easter was a long time ago !!!!

Yes I can't believe my last post was at the end of March .

I then was away for 3 weeks in Venezeula and have only just finished the trip report which is listed in the pages link.

Otherwise being flat out at work has limited most other activity. At home the pond is finished and looking good.

Spring went by in a flash and most of June / July had appalling weather although the last week here has been fabulous c25c+ and sunny.

Spring birding highlights in the UK have been few. I have seen Turtle Dove and Honey Buzzard from the house and local bird breeding activity has been good. I had a good Nightjar and Woodcock evening on Blackdown but my early spring visits to the coast were mostly uneventful.

I will have to focus from here to try and get out more and take more pictures for the rest of the year !!!
